TO ALL GROC MEMBERS,
During the last 18 months GROC has made great impacts to the communities where we live and recreate. From town parades, trail days, promoting healthy active lifestyles, National Bike Patrol, community projects, awareness, working with land managers, sending e-mails to decision makers, getting involved with local projects and committees, educating people, youth outreach and programs, festivals, waking up Monroe County and making great friends. These are all great accomplishments and all by you as volunteers. You know who you are and should take great pride in your service and what you do for your community and all Off-Road cyclists. BIG BIG UP! You are a joy to be around and an inspiration daily.
There is also a group, the GROC Advocacy Committee, who has gone above and beyond the call of duty. They have put in countless tireless hours of work and advocacy for the membership and still show up at trail work days. Their dedication is peerless and totally unselfish. They have educated much of our community and decision makers regarding inclusion, sustainability, shared-use trails and responsible Off-Road cycling. These dedicated individuals have been persistent and demonstrated tenacity of task and serve as an inspiration at every turn. They could be out riding yet step up at every occasion in a truly un-selfish manner and raise awareness in our communities. I’d like to personally recognize these individuals for their efforts and commitment for you the Off-Road community.
