Cyclocross itâs like a steeplechase on a bike

There are many Cyclocross races around the area but Full Moon Vista has been putting on great race events for the last 2 years and thier Cyclocross series kicked off in Parma at the Parma Town Park. The events are very well run and the Parma Park made for a great venue for spectators and racers. It was little wet but the racers still managed to rip through the course and gracefully dismount to clear obstacles.

There are several classes so if you’re interested in trying your hand at this fun race format just come out and give it a shot. Although there are special bikes formatted for Cyclocross you can also use a standard mountain bike.

Even if you don't want to race it well worth a trip to see the races. Full Moon Vista has 2 more races in their series. The next one is at Cobbs Hill Park Oct 11th downtown and the following in Ellison Park November 1st. Come out and enjoy the race or give it a try.
